The kiddos had an exciting day today! We went to the Wolfville Fire Station for a small tour and presentation on fire safety! We were very lucky to have one of their Captain’s who is just amazing with children lead our tour. The kids were able to watch short Sparky video, practice some of the fire safety rules, check out the gear that the firefighters wear and sit on the fire truck! They also had Eric who was the Captain, demonstrate how he has to put on the gear and how it all works. At the very end the kids received wonderful loot bags full of great items including hats! They all had a great time and I think it is such a wonderful experience for all children to have! This is something that groups can book at participating fire departments and what child doesn’t love a visit to the fire station?
