Date Day!

Today was a rare day! Sandy and I both had the day off and the kids were at school! It is very strange to have time together during daylight! Our plan was to hike to Cape Split but we had rain most of the weekend and when we woke this morning it was raining again. We decided to plan a different day. Sandy went for his 10km run while I finished up some things around the house I wanted to get done. We decided first to take a walk on the marsh. We both love it down there and it was nice with just the two of us!

We ran some errands for the upcoming 3 parties that we have for our September kiddos and we decided to have a lunch date. We went to Cora’s since we both love the food there. We realized it had been at between 2-3 years since we had a meal out with just the two of us! We love spending all our time with our kiddos, but it was a nice treat to have time together. Over the years I have met couples that I often wonder what they will have in common or what they will do when their kids have moved out. Days like today remind me of the great friendship that we have and the common interests we have as well. I’m thankful for it!
