Every year in the first week of June our family and many friends head to Ross Farm for their pumpkin planting! Our kids love it. It is free with your admission to plant a pumpkin for each of your children and they get to put the seeds in the ground themselves, then it is marked with their stake. It is usually a big weekend at Ross Farm and they have lots of the buildings open with different activities inside.
It is always the third weekend of September that we get to go back and see what grew over the summer. The kids love arriving at the pumpkin patch and checking out all the pumpkins to see which one is theirs. Lots of excitement for them.
Today we were also able to take a wagon ride to and from the pumpkin patch. They had most of their buildings open, with pumpkin cookies, wood working and lots of animals. Today we were there later in the day, which doesn’t happen too often, so the kids had the opportunity to milk the cows. They were very excited!
I love how many of our friends and family can join us each year! Ross Farm is one of our kids favorite places to visit!
