As I sit at the airport waiting for my Hubby to arrive I am reminded how thankful I am for all of the very generous amazing people in my life! Sandy and I both work from home and because of that have created a life that requires a lot of flexibility. We do not live in our children’s school district and because of that we have to drive them each day to 3 different schools. They are in extracurricular activities as well in all directions. Not that I am complaining about either of those things. I am very happy with our life, but it does require flexibility! With Sandy being gone this week it did add a bit of stress to try and find ways for the children back and forth when I am either going the other way or busy with my childcare. I am so thankful for so many people helping me out this week! My Mom picked Alex up almost every day and stayed with Noah on the late nights that I was at the girls extra activities, Tif picked Caile up often and I had other people in my life do great things like take Ella to dance just to make things easier. I am so thankful for so many offers to help during this week. I really am surrounded by so many great people! Thank you!
Mostly this week, I missed Sandy! I know many couples end up apart due to work or travel for much longer than Sandy and I have been apart this week. That isn’t us though! We choose the occupations we have because we love being together and being with our children as much as we can be! We don’t spend much time apart and although it was only a week, I am very thankful that my best friend is back! And I know how excited our children are to wake up to Dad being home! 🙂
