Every weekend leading up to Christmas seems to be busy for our family. Always lots of fun to be had and I love all of the Christmas events this time of year. Today was a day for us to run a few errands and enjoy some Christmas season things!
We dropped Noah & Sandy off at soccer and headed to get some groceries. We knew we had some birthday shopping to do today as well and I had my own agenda of finishing the Christmas decorating and getting the lights out before our Girls Night Craft began! I decided to let the kids choose supper tonight. They decided on popcorn chicken, sweet potato fries & Caesar salad. I was excited for a nice quick meal and I love sweet potato fries & salad so they made a great choice!

It was a nice warm day that we decided to go for a walk on some back paths and trails by our home we hadn’t tried before. We went on a pine hunt for some of my displays and found some!
Once we were all home Ella and I started working on the outside bush lights. It didn’t take long to get them on and then we came inside so that the girls could put the lights in the windows. Noah was our bulb re-placer! I love seeing the house all lite for Christmas! Simple and so beautiful! Next weekend we get our tree so I am counting down the days!

After Noah went to bed we started our girls night. The girls wanted to work on some crafts for their teachers, etc and my Mom had to make a craft for an exchange she had later in the week. The girls loved having Nannie take part! It was a fun night and the now have some really cute gifts made!

My last little project for the season is to finish an advent calendar for the children. It is a good deed calendar that encourages them and suggests a kindness gesture they can do each day leading up to Christmas. We always take part in caroling events, making things for others and choosing a family to support each season, but this just helps remind us of all the giving we can do! After-all that is part of what the season is about! 🙂
