Feeding Belugas & the most amazing Safari

We left Philly early on the Sunday morning. We were heading for our Hotel in Brantford Ontario with plans to meet up with Tif & her family and the Mann family as well in that area. On our way though we had the opportunity to meet up with a couple of our co-workers. We met in a State Park called Letchworth in NY. What a great place to meet and such a beautiful park. I could not get over the waterfalls and scenery all around. It was so great to meet Chrissie and her family as well as Sam who is a member of the team I am on, Eshu. We enjoyed some pizza and a walk through part of the park. It was a great stopping point for us.

We then headed to cross the border at Fort Erie. Once we had crossed back into Canada we headed to Niagara Falls. Noah was not born yet when we were there with the girls so we wanted to be sure he was able to see the Falls. He loves anything like that. 🙂 It was definitely a waterfall type of day lol.

We made it back to our hotel and the kids went for a swim with their cousins and friends. It was a great way to end an awesome day. The next day we headed to Marine Land. It was different from what I remembered it. It seemed to have less of an Aquarium feel and more of an amusement park. We all enjoyed the show, so amazing, and the walk around to see some of the whales, seals and dolphins. The kids wanted to use some of their vacation money on feeding the belugas. This was one of their favorite parts of this experience. They also loved the rides and had a fun afternoon going on ride after ride with their cousins and friends.

We headed back to the hotel for another swim. The Mann family had to make their way to their next stop in their vacation, so that left us and the Merrill’s. The next day was African Lion Safari. This is my favorite type of zoo experience. Wow, is really all I can say. The kids loved it and the Merrill’s even had a baboon on their van. We spent the afternoon seeing some of their shows as well as enjoying an elephant ride. They also had a new section since we had been there. An entire water park area. The kids loved it. It was a perfect way to end the hot day. We also took one more drive through the safari before we moved on to our next stop in London Ontario.

We were so happy to be able to overlap our trip with others. The kids are so close to their cousins and we knew this month would be long so we were very thankful it worked out that we could have some fun before journeying on our way.
