Love where you are…

It is just about here! March is just about here! When I wake up tomorrow the last day of February will be here, the two Winter months will be in the past and Spring will be just about here. Each year I dread Winter. I was especially worried about this Winter, because for the first time in our lives we were in a position where we could work anywhere if we wanted to. I envisioned the snow banks and long cold Winter and the thoughts of moving to somewhere where we no longer had to deal with it.

Before Winter began I came across a blog post on a customer’s site that was focused on “If you can’t be where you want, love where you are.” It really made me think. The weather doesn’t have to have that affect on me. We can spend time with those we love, make our own fun and before we know it Winter will be over.

Since coming back from Boston that has played in my mind. We have found things to keep us busy as a family, enjoy time together and for me avoid the Winter blues. I have to be honest in saying that this has been by far my most favorite Winter. It does help that I have seen my grass way more than I have seen the snow. And it hasn’t been super cold other than the Christmas break. I have had many walks outside each day. It is nice having my Father retired as we often walk together or with us as we go as a family.

The only downfall of Winter not depressing me this year, is that my vacation planning is behind. I only have half of our hotels / airbnb’s booked and way too much Disney planning to do lol. 😉 I think those are great problems to have though.
