A lot of people often think we kept having children until we had our boy, but that wasn’t the case with us at all. I had always said I was fine having all girls, but I know my Nannie in particular was set on the fact that I needed a boy. I didn’t know it then, but she was definitely right.
The day we found out Noah was a boy, Sandy, the girls and I all went to the ultrasound. Usually we had to wait for the specialist to tell us what we were having, but that day, the nurse said she could easily tell. She then said we were having a boy. The room was full of cheers. Sandy and the girls were hoping for a boy, I was fine either way, but was definitely nervous about having a boy. The ongoing joke with the girls and Sandy is that Noah’s name came from me yelling “Nooooooooo…….Ahhhhhh” when I found out I was having a boy. He knows it isn’t true though and he loves being the only boy.
He was well spoiled by his sisters when he was younger. And even to this day, he knows how to often win them over into getting what he wants lol! He gets along with each of the girls in different ways and is close with all of them. He loves to be adventurous with Alex, Caile & Noah are often my video game kids, so you will find them building in Minecraft and Ella & Noah are very similar, so you can find them snuggling, wrestling, teasing and playing with each other. I love how he has developed a great bond with each of them.
Noah has a big heart, he really does love to start each day with some snuggles. Some days I think he would spend his whole day that way if we let him. 🙂 He loves animals and I am convinced one day he will adopt the entire SPCA! I had to stop taking him into the pet store for a few years, because it would break his heart to leave the animals behind. His favorite animal is a gorilla and he sleeps with the one his Grammie gave him every night.
Noah loves basketball the best, but will play any and every sport. He is super competitive and loves anything that has his running. He enjoys school, but definitely loves math the most. He has Sandy’s math brain and I hope he will always keep his desire to want to know how things work.
I love that Noah can be silly, funny, and serious all in the same 5 minutes. He has a way of making me smile & laugh often. I couldn’t be more happy that I had my boy. He completed our amazing family and teaches me something new every day. I am so proud to be his Mom. As his birthday begins today, I am excited to be able to spoil him today with all of his favorite foods, fun & more. Noah definitely loves his birthday like I do and I am thankful for an inservice day to be able to have the whole day with him. 🙂
Thank you Noah for being the amazing boy that you are. For being so kind, caring, funny, God loving, determined, strong and passionate boy that you are. I love that you love life and are so excited to experience all that it has to offer! Never loose these amazing qualities! I love you!
