Having 3 children born in September we do a lot of celebrating. Caile has the last birthday of the month and we always make sure we have the same amount of energy and excitement for her birthday as we do the two previous. Caile always gets excited about her birthday in her subtle way. She enjoys spending the day with her family and friends, but I have to say tied at the top with being around those she loves would be her birthday food wishes.
For all of the kids we let them pick every meal for the day. They always choose their absolute favorites. One of Caile’s favorite foods would be hot donair dip and pita chips. We also make donair pizza to have as well, but for the past quite a few birthdays she has chosen this meal for supper. She loves it. She really thinks about each meal and dessert that she chooses which is definitely Caile. Any decision in her life she makes thoughtfully and throughly, including her birthday food choices. I love her love for food because I totally get it! We have a similar taste in the foods we love and how much we enjoy them.

Watching Caile grow over these 14 years has made me such a proud parent. She has always had so much patience and love for people. Sometimes I wish I could view the world through her eyes. She is such a compassionate, caring soul and you can see it even in her eyes. When Caile first started school she loved to be around the “Dutie’s/ EA’s” that were watching over the kids outside. There was one EA that would stay with a boy who was in a wheelchair and could not speak. Caile mentioned him, but very little about his disability. She liked to walk around with the EA and push him around the schoolyard. A couple of months into the school year we were sent a picture home of the two of them together and we were told how caring she was toward him. It melted my heart.
Full speed ahead to this year, her first year of high school. Caile doesn’t have a lot of time between homework and dance, but wanted to try and join a few things at school. She came home and told me she signed up for a program that allows her to spend a lunch every other week doing crafts with the special needs kids at the school. I love that over the years her heart has continued to grow as well as her compassion and desire to help those around her. I am so proud of her.

Caile has such a wonderful personality, so kind, smart, strong, disciplined and such a respect and love for those around her. She values her friendships and her family and although she pretends she doesn’t love Noah & Ella’s hugs, we all know how much her siblings mean to her. I am thankful for her desire to know more about God and his word and I am more than proud of how she lives her life. Happy Birthday Caile, I can’t wait to spend the day with you celebrating! I am so blessed to be your Mom!
