Wow! Saying those words out loud makes me realize how fast time really does go by. I am so excited for your 20th year, because I truly believe it will be your best yet. In this past year you have grown so much. You started your 19th year wanting to be very independent, but that independence brought some good and bad into your life. I am so proud that in these past 8 months you have made smart choices, made huge strides to better your life and start a new life for you & your soon to be baby boy Ezra.
I am thankful for the bond that we share. More often than not, people are surprised when they find out that you are my step daughter. I know that you don’t remember life without me in it, but it always makes me happy that people see what we have always had, an amazing love and you have always been my daughter.
We are very different. Sometimes I don’t understand your sense of humor, I am certainly not creative in the ways you are and I don’t share your intense love of animals, but none of that matters. We have always learned from each other and grown together as well.
In less than 2 months you will become a Mama! I am very excited for you and as I have said many times already, you will be an amazing Mama. Believe in yourself, stay true to your morals & values, your faith and your heart. You have seen and experienced so much in these 20 years, use this to take you forward. You can truly do anything you want to do!
I am very thankful that we are in a position that we can help you to get a start on this next part of your life. I know you will make your new home “cozy” and I am excited for all of the memories that you will have there.
