10 Years of Easter Egg Hunts

Back in 2010 the Fisher family started a new tradition. They invited a bunch of us families over to their house during an Easter weekend. We made Easter baskets and they hid plastic eggs filled with yummy treats all around their yard. When the baskets were created and decorated, the kids would go hunt for their eggs.

It hard to believe we have had this hunt 10 times! Noah and Bekah were just babies the first year we started. The kids have looked forward to this every year. It’s always a huge highlight for them.

This year was the year we were changing it up! The Fisher’s were creating an escape room type idea for the older kids Easter Hunt. Once they solved a series of clues they would reveal their Easter loot!

Clearly with the World happenings we are not able to gather together this Easter, but this event will still happen! Once we can all be together again we will celebrate everything we missed, including this Easter Hunt.

Candice and I had not talked about it, but clearly had the same thought in mind lol! Early Good Friday their SUV pulled up and bags of Easter goodies were left on our step.

We also had planned some fun as the next day we went to a few houses and left an Easter egg hunt in their yards. Although the kids couldn’t all be together, it is amazing to see the glow in my children as they filled eggs, decorated baskets and hid eggs at their friends and families houses.

This will be a year to remember and I’m thankful that although some memories are not what we thought they would be, there is a lot of really good ones being made. ❤️
