Why Birthday’s are the Best!

I’ve loved my birthday for as long as I can remember. I also love other peoples birthdays, but when it’s your own, it’s even more special.

Just think back over your life and imagine how different things would be if you didn’t exist, if you were never born. Many people would be affected in some way or another. It’s exciting to celebrate that your footprints crossed so many lives.

Most importantly, I very much appreciate the gift of another year. This life is unpredictable and I know many who didn’t get to celebrate their 43rd birthday or maybe won’t be here to celebrate their next birthday. I’m grateful that I’m here living this amazing life and that alone is always a reason to celebrate.

I love hearing from family and friends. If it’s been a while, which can easily happen with the busyness of things, it’s always nice to hear from so many people on your birthday. It can be a simple Happy Birthday, or maybe it’s a message checking in, I’m always excited and appreciative that each person took time out of their day to reach out to me.

And of course there is the food and fun! I eat whatever, whenever on my birthday and love every minute of it. My breakfast will be an amazing tiramisu that my awesome daughter Caile made me. It’s one of my fav desserts, so it’s my breakfast and that’s just the start of my fav foods.

I always try to do some of my favorite things with some of my favorite people. I try my best to be close to the ocean and am very much looking forward to a day on the waterfront this year.
