Happy 12th Birthday Ella Claire!

It’s hard to believe that my baby girl is turning 12, just about reaching her teenage years. It seems like yesterday we were heading to the hospital to finally meet her. I am convinced children are born with their personalities and life / upbringing helps shape them. Ella has always had a huge heart and so much love for everyone in her life. She hugs often, sometimes to the point where her other siblings are trying to escape her hugs lol. She is so affectionate, caring and loves with her whole being.

Ella gives and gives and gives of herself to be sure that everyone around her has everything they need, are supported and happy. Her heart reminds me of my Nannie. She will always give a million times more than she will ever receive, and will be happy doing it. Ella is outgoing, loves to try new things and is always up for any adventure.

As outgoing as she is, she is definitely my little Mini Me. She doesn’t like to be away from me and is often close by, helping me and chatting with me as often as she can. She was so excited that her birthday was on a Saturday this year. In the past she has been known to call home sick, because she hates being away from me on her birthday. She knows how much I love birthdays and she loves them too. Each year, beginning way back at her 3rd birthday, she sang for herself and she still does that to this day! Love this video.

Last night we had her family party and today will be her friends party. She is excited to have her friends over to the house for the party and then heading to the theatre to see Peter Rabbit. She looks forward to her day for so long. Her smile can light up any room, but on her birthday it is even more amazing, since she will be glowing all day long.

Ella, you are a remarkable young lady who I am so proud of. I love your heart, your love for Jesus, kindness toward others, your intelligence and strength. I hope and pray you will always keep these qualities at your core and no matter what life dishes at you, you’ll keep on being the amazing girl that you are! I love you Ella, Happy Birthday! Let the celebrating begin! 🙂
