Happy Spring and Trialversary

It is hard to believe that it has been 1 year since I started my first day of Trial at Automattic. I had worked as hard as I could before that day to absorb as much information as I could, but it didn’t help the nervousness and stress that I felt. I wanted a position so badly and I knew that I would have to work for it, not knowing until the end if I was successful. I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions I have made in a long time.

Although my full time hire date wasn’t until the beginning of June, I pretty much worked full time from March 20th onward. With any position, you always wonder how it will feel each year. I love that I have the opportunity to help and teach our customers. It feels great and I learn new things every day. That is something I have missed since leaving University.

I love the people that I work with. I get to learn about new places, cultures and make friends all over the World. It is pretty amazing. The flexibility and benefits have benefitted our family in so many ways. Once again this coming summer we are looking forward to travelling for a month, something we would have never been able to do before. I love that Sandy is also an Automattician.

I am now starting a scheduling rotation which will change things up for me a bit. I love that there are always opportunities if you want them to try something new and increase your level of learning.  Thank you Automattic for an amazing year! I am looking forward to many more to come! 🙂
