This is the year that we have 3 teenage girls in our family! We joked about this year when Ella was born and just like that it feels like we have blinked and we are here.
Ella loves her birthday! She definitely gets that from me. She looks forward to spending time with everyone she loves and cares about. She was especially excited this year because her birthday fell on a weekend. She enjoys school, but really likes being home on her birthday.
We decided to make a full weekend out of it, so we booked the pool for Saturday and invited all of her dance friends & their siblings. It has been a while since she has swam, so she was looking forward to this. She had a great time and was so excited to swim and have some fun with everyone.

After the pool the Merrill family came back to our house and we decided to have a Merrill cousin sleepover. Tif and I had chatted about a fun paint project the girls could do using her cricut. It is called Hot Mess Canvas. The girls had fun painting together and got the first part done. They will finish the rest in the morning.
Today will be Ella’s birthday party. She planned a games party which she is very excited about. Ella is super competitive and loves playing games. She is really looking forward to her party.
After her party we have the Merrill’s and the Fisher’s coming for her birthday supper. She picked out poutine pizza, donair pizza & caesar salad with homemade truffles as her dessert. It will be a fun evening.
She has another birthday supper on Monday if it is not storming too badly with Uncle Matt, Aunt Christina, Nannie & Poppie. She is happy she will get time with everyone. Nannie & Poppie as well as Grammie Sue already took her out for some birthday meals.
13 years sure have passed by quickly. I am so proud of this amazing young lady. She has a huge heart, lots of determination, works hard at everything she does and cares about everyone so deeply. She has a great laugh, a funny sense of humor that reminds me of my Pop McComiskey. She laughs at her own jokes and will spend endless amounts of time reading jokes and retelling them. She is an amazing girl and I am proud to be her Mama.
Keep being the amazing girl you are Ella, keep pursuing your faith and love for Jesus, keep being the loyal friend that you are, the hard worker and the girl that loves life and loves making memories! I am excited to make many more with you this year and see all of the amazing things you will do! Xox!
